Traditional Recipe Makeovers

by Kelsey Ensminger 1 year ago

It can be hard getting your family to switch from the pizza, fast food, and ice cream on a regular basis but, you don’t have to entirely give up those things to live a healthy lifestyle. Instead, you can make healthier and similar home cooked meals just by adjusting a few ingredients. Just by switching out granulated sugar for 100% organic honey, you are already off to a great start.

Choosing organic is making a healthier choice.
You don’t want all those chemicals in your foods, do you? Choosing to buy organic whole foods means benefiting from more nutrients, avoiding hormones and antibiotics, reducing pollution, and supporting farming directly. And if you are worried about GMOs then just make sure you are buying certified organic and there is nothing to worry about. Certified organic= Non GMO!

Let’s say you’re preparing dinner and want to sauté some organic veggies. What will you cook them in? A bad choice would be lard, a good choice would be butter, a better choice would be extra virgin olive oil, and the best choice would be organic coconut oil (or Purium’s Tropic Oil).
